For deliveries to countries outside the EU and to EFTA states (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland), additional duties, taxes and fees may apply in addition to the local import sales tax. Please contact your local authorities for information about this.

Exports to third countries outside the EU and EFTA are possible from a net value of 500 €.

Shipments of goods from abroad are generally subject to customs duties and VAT. The customer is considered the importer and is obliged to pay the applicable charges. Customs clearance is carried out by the carrier. Any costs incurred are collected by UPS from the recipient.

Customs:
As of January 1, 2024, import duties on industrial products have been abolished in Switzerland. Nevertheless, all goods imported into Switzerland are still subject to declaration and customs obligations. Customs declarations for export from the EU and import into Switzerland remain mandatory. For goods valued at over 1,000 euros, additional export documents (export declaration) are required. We handle all the formalities for you.

Import VAT and De Minimis Threshold:
Items purchased from CompuRAM are subject to VAT; however, this is only charged if the tax amount exceeds the de minimis threshold of at least 5 CHF.

The import VAT is collected directly by UPS. Recipients without a customs deferment account pay an advance commission because UPS initially pays the import duties to the customs authorities. For this service, UPS charges a fee based on the value of the goods and the amount paid. According to UPS, the advance commission (disbursement fee) amounts to 3% of the calculated VAT, but at least 25.50 CHF (as of 10/2024). As the sender, we have no influence over this.

Value Limit for Goods:
The value limit for VAT-exempt imports (including transport costs) for our items at the current standard rate of 8.1% is currently EUR 61.50 € (as of Dec. 2024).
